Dr. Foyekemi Ikyaator is a 31-year old Nigerian who was raised in the United States. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health on a full academic scholarship. Dr. Foye completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at Emory School of Medicine and Public Health, Atlanta GA in 2012. After this, she moved to Houston TX and more gained more work experience from St. Luke’s Health System .
Dr. Foye’s passion for helping others and saving lives is her major motivator to continue to provide extra-ordinary acute care service. Having obtained vast knowledge and skills in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Foye and her husband opened a full-service Emergency room in December 2015 in northwest Houston. She reported to Houston Profile Magazine’s correspondent, Rebecca Walton, “the whole idea in a free-standing ER is that you can provide the care in amore relaxed environment”.
Dr Foye is one of the few young black medical directors of her time and serves as an encouragement to young women while setting a high standard. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Life Savers Emergency room is scheduled to take place on January 15, 2016.
